Italian Elisabetta Cocciaretto, the top seed, reached the last eight of the Angers Open by defeating Swiss Celine Naef 2-6, 6-3, 6-1 at the Arena Loire de Trélazé on Thursday evening.
Cocciaretto, ranked No 48, will face Chloe Paquet next.
Ahead of her victory, the 22-year-old Italian won against Swiss Susan Bandecchi (6-1, 3-6, 6-1).
Naef, ranked No 139, won against Frenchwoman Emeline Dartron (2-6, 6-4, 6-0) in the previous round of the Angers tournament.
