There’s more than a recent run of good form on the hard courts to celebrate for two-time Grand Slam champion Petra Kvitova. The 32-year-old is engaged!
Kvitova broke the news on social media on Wednesday, sharing a picture of herself and her fiancé Jiri Vanek. Even better: the proposal took place at Kvitova’s favourite stomping grounds – Wimbledon’s All England Club.
“Happy news we wanted to share with you guys,” Kvitova posted. “I said “yes” in my special place.”
The 32-year-old Czech began working with Vanek in 2016, and their romantic relationship was revealed in 2021. Vanek, a former ATP pro, had previously coached Karolina Pliskova.
Kvitova played her 40th career final on Sunday in Cincinnati, falling to Caroline Garcia.
