Austin Open: Bjorklund ousts Parks in opening round

Swede wildcard Mirjam Bjorklund advanced to the second round of the Austin Open by edging out American Alycia Parks, the No 7 seed, 6-4, 4-6, 6-4 at the Westwood Country Club on Monday evening.
Bjorklund, ranked No 151, will face the winner of the match between American wildcard Peyton Stearns and qualifier Katie Boulter next.
