Berlin Open: Badosa beats Navarro and advances to quarter-finals

Spaniard Paula Badosa, the No 8 seed, reached the quarter-finals of the Berlin Open by winning against American Emma Navarro 7-6 (2), 6-3 at the Rot-Weiss Tennis Club on Wednesday.
Badosa, ranked No 10, will face the winner of the match between Chinese qualifier Xinyu Wang and American Coco Gauff, the second seed, next.
Ahead of her victory, the Spaniard beat German wildcard Eva Lys (6-1, 6-3).
Navarro, ranked No 9, won against Ukrainian Marta Kostyuk (6-2, 6-3) in the previous round of the Berlin tournament.
