Croat Donna Vekic advanced to the last 16 of the Berlin Open by beating Russian Varvara Gracheva 6-3, 6-2 at Rot-Weiss Tennis Club on Monday.
Vekic, ranked No 23, will face the winner of the match between Russian qualifier Polina Kudermetova and Kazakh Elena Rybakina, the second seed, next.
