Bogota Open: Bjorklund upsets top seed Mertens to reach second round
The Swede will face Slovenian Tamara Zidansek in the next round

Sweden’s Mirjam Bjorklund advanced to the second round of the Bogota Open by edging out Belgian Elise Mertens, the top seed, 6-1, 4-6, 7-6 (3) at the Country Club Bogota on Tuesday.
Bjorklund, ranked No 133, will face Slovenian Tamara Zidansek next.
