Colombian Camila Osorio, the No 6 seed, beat Romanian qualifier Anca Alexia Todoni 7-6 (4), 6-4 to reach the quarter-finals of the Bogota Open at the Country Club Bogota on Thursday evening.
Osorio, ranked No 85, will play the winner of the match between Argentinian Julia Riera and German Tatjana Maria, the second seed, next.
The 22-year-old Colombian won against Canadian qualifier Marina Stakusic (6-4, 6-2) in the previous round of the Bogota tournament.
During the first round of the Bogota tournament, Todoni, ranked No 217, edged out Italian Lucrezia Stefanini (4-6, 6-2, 6-4).
