Local favourite Osorio wins Bogota trophy for the third time
Osorio had earlier won the title in 2021 and 2024 and is one way from tying the record of most Bogota Open titles by a single player

Colombian Camila Osorio, the second seed, beat Pole qualifier Katarzyna Kawa 6-3, 6-3 to lift the Bogota Open trophy at the Country Club Bogota on Sunday.
This was Osorio’s third triumph in her home event, having also won the title here in 2021 and 2024. She becomes only the second player in the tournament’s history to win the title three times and is one away from tying the record of four titles held by another Colombian – Fabiola Zuluaga, who won here in 1999, 2002, 2003 and 2004.
Osorio, ranked No 54, defeated wildcard Mariana Isabel Higuita Barraza (6-0, 6-1), American Emina Bektas (1-6, 7-6 (5), 6-2), German Tatjana Maria, the No 6 seed (6-1, 6-3) and Argentinian Julia Riera (6-4, 7-5) in the previous rounds of the tournament.
Earlier in the week, Kawa, ranked No 223, beat Colombian wildcard Valentina Mediorreal Arias (6-1, 6-1), Brazilian Laura Pigossi (1-6, 7-6 (5), 6-3), top seed Marie Bouzkova (5-7, 6-1, 7-5) and American qualifier Julieta Pareja (7-5, 6-2).
