Bogota Open: Tig books spot in second round

Romanian lucky loser Patricia Maria Tig won against Colombian Emiliana Arango, the No 4 seed, 6-3, 6-3 to move into the second round of the Bogota Open at the Country Club Bogota on Tuesday.

Tig, ranked No 243, will play the winner of the match between American qualifier Julieta Pareja and Colombian wildcard Maria Jose Sanchez Uribe next.
