Brisbane Open: Sabalenka beats Putintseva to reach last eight
The world No 1 will face Marie Bouzkova in the next round

World No 1 Aryna Sabalenka moved into the last eight of the Brisbane Open by defeating Kazakh Yulia Putintseva, the No 15 seed, 7-6 (2), 6-4 at the Queensland Tennis Centre on Thursday.
Sabalenka, ranked No 1, will face Marie Bouzkova next.
Ahead of her win today, the top-seeded Belarusian won against Mexican Renata Zarazua (6-4, 6-0).
Putintseva, ranked No 29, won against American McCartney Kessler (6-2, 7-5) in the previous round of the tournament.
