Montreal: Samsonova edges Siniakova to reach round 2

Russian Liudmila Samsonova, the No 15 seed, won against Katerina Siniakova 4-6, 6-2, 6-3 to advance to the second round of the Canadian Open at Stade IGA in Montreal on Tuesday evening.
