Chinese Qinwen Zheng moved into the second round of the Canadian Open by winning against Ukrainian Marta Kostyuk 6-2, 1-6, 6-3 at Stade IGA in Montreal on Tuesday evening.
Zheng, ranked No 24, will play Russian Liudmila Samsonova, the No 15 seed, next.
