Catalonia Open: Masarova advances to final

Swiss Rebeka Masarova won against Belarusian Aliaksandra Sasnovich 2-6, 6-1, 6-3 to move into the final of the Catalonia Open on Friday evening.
Masarova, ranked No 153, will play Hungarian Dalma Galfi next.
Earlier in the tournament, the Swiss defeated Dutchwoman Arantxa Rus (6-3, 6-4), Mexican Renata Zarazua, the No 5 seed (3-6, 6-3, 6-4) and No 3 seed Katerina Siniakova (6-3, 6-4).
Sasnovich, ranked No 110, won against Colombian Emiliana Arango (6-7 (4), 6-3, 7-6 (5)), Canadian Leylah Fernandez, the top seed (6-4, 2-6, 6-2) and Spaniard Carlota Martinez Cirez (6-3, 7-5) in the previous rounds.
