Second seed Katerina Siniakova won against Lina Gjorcheska 6-2, 6-2 to move into the quarter-finals of the Catalonia Open on Thursday.
Siniakova, ranked No 40, will play the winner of the match between No 6 seed Sofia Kenin and Ashlyn Krueger next.
Katerina Siniakova beat American Alycia Parks (6-2, 6-4) in the previous round.
In the previous round, Gjorcheska, ranked No 218, defeated Spanish wildcard Carlota Martinez Cirez (3-6, 7-5, 6-1).
