Belgian Greet Minnen defeated Belarusian Aliaksandra Sasnovich 6-1, 6-2 to move into the last eight of the Charleston Open 125 at the Family Circle Tennis Center on Wednesday afternoon.
Minnen, ranked No 81, will face the winner of the match between American Emina Bektas and Spaniard Rebeka Masarova next.
Ahead of her victory, the Belgian won against German Tamara Korpatsch, the No 8 seed (6-2, 6-4).
Sasnovich, ranked No 97, edged out American Kayla Day (5-7, 7-5, 6-4) in the previous round of the Charleston 125 tournament.
