Charleston Open 125: Shnaider beats Dodin to book spot in last four

Russian Diana Shnaider, the No 7 seed, beat Frenchwoman Oceane Dodin 6-3, 6-2 to advance to the last 4 of the Charleston Open 125 at the Family Circle Tennis Center.
Shnaider, ranked No 74, will face the winner of the match between Russian qualifier Erika Andreeva and Chinese Yafan Wang, the No 6 seed, next.
Ahead of her victory, the 19-year-old Russian beat American wildcard Dalayna Hewitt (6-2, 6-4) and Romanian Jaqueline Cristian (6-1, 7-5).
Dodin, ranked No 85, won against American wildcard Madison Sieg (6-3, 6-2) and edged out Italian Martina Trevisan, the No 3 seed (7-5, 4-6, 7-6 (9)) earlier in the tournament.
