Charleston Open: Kenin moves into final

Sofia Kenin moved into the final of the Charleston Open when No 8 seed Amanda Anisimova retired on Saturday evening at the Family Circle Tennis Center.
Kenin, ranked No 44, led 5-2 when Anisimova, ranked No 16, pulled out.
Sofia Kenin will face American Jessica Pegula, the top seed, next.
Kenin won against Bernarda Pera (6-3, 6-4), Swiss Belinda Bencic, the No 17 seed (6-0, 6-3), Australian Daria Kasatkina, the No 5 seed (6-3, 7-6 (7)) and Russian Anna Kalinskaya, the No 14 seed (6-4, 6-3) ahead of her victory.
Earlier in the tournament, Amanda Anisimova, defeated Russian Veronika Kudermetova (6-2, 6-2), Kazakh Yulia Putintseva, the No 10 seed (6-4, 6-4) and No 4 seed Emma Navarro (7-5, 7-6 (1)).
