Charleston Open: Montgomery reaches second round

American Robin Montgomery reached the second round of the Charleston Open by beating Bulgarian Viktoriya Tomova 6-1, 6-3 at the Family Circle Tennis Center on Monday.

Montgomery, ranked No 105, will play No 7 seed Danielle Collins next.
