Frenchwoman Varvara Gracheva won against Russian Anastasia Potapova 6-2, 3-6, 6-1 to reach the 32 of the China Open on Saturday night.
Gracheva, ranked No 48, will face the winner of the match between Spaniard Sara Sorribes Tormo and Pole Iga Swiatek, the second seed, next.
