Cluj-Napoca Open: Qualifier Dart advances to maiden tour semi-final

Qualifier Harriet Dart moved into the semi-finals of the Cluj-Napoca Open by winning against Spaniard Nuria Parrizas Diaz 6-3, 6-2 at the BTarena on Friday.
It is the first time she has reached the last four of a WTA Tour event.
Dart, ranked No 103, will play the winner of the match between Karolina Pliskova and Italian Sara Errani next.
Harriet Dart defeated Hungarian lucky loser Anna Bondar (6-4, 7-6) and Italian Elisabetta Cocciaretto, the No 5 seed (5-7, 7-5, 6-3) in the previous rounds of the Cluj-Napoca tournament.
Earlier in the tournament, Parrizas Diaz, ranked No 132, won against German Laura Siegemund (6-4, 6-4) and edged out Russian Anna Blinkova, the No 3 seed (6-1, 3-6, 6-4).
