No 5 seed Katerina Siniakova beat Bulgarian Viktoriya Tomova 6-3, 7-6 (7) to move into the last 4 of the Cluj-Napoca Open at the BT Arena on Friday evening.
Siniakova, ranked No 54, will play the winner of the match between No 7 seed Elisabetta Cocciaretto and Lucia Bronzetti next.
Katerina Siniakova edged out qualifier Francesca Jones (6-4, 6-7 (5), 6-4) and American Caroline Dolehide (2-6, 6-1, 6-4) earlier in the tournament.
In the previous rounds of the Cluj-Napoca tournament, Tomova, ranked No 63, won against Egyptian Mayar Sherif (3-6, 6-4, 6-1) and Serb Olga Danilovic, the second seed (7-5, 7-5).
