Dolehide advances to Austin second round

American Caroline Dolehide fought past Russian qualifier Anastasia Zakharova 6-2, 5-7, 6-4 to reach the second round of the Austin Open at the Westwood Country Club on Tuesday evening.

Dolehide, ranked No 80, will next play the winner of a match between Frenchwoman Varvara Gracheva and American Peyton Stearns, the No 3 seed.
