Dubai Duty Free Championships: Gauff holds off battling Sasnovich to take place in last 16

American Coco Gauff, the No 5 seed, moved into the last 16 of the Dubai Duty Free Championships by winning against Belarusian Aliaksandra Sasnovich 6-0, 6-4 at The Aviation Club Tennis Centre on Tuesday evening.

Gauff, ranked No 6, will face the winner of the match between Kazakh Elena Rybakina, the No 9 seed, and Czech Marie Bouzkova next.

In the previous round, Sasnovich, ranked No 43, edged out Spanish qualifier Rebeka Masarova (2-6, 6-4, 6-4).
