Dubai Open: Vondrousova beats Samsonova to reach quarters
The Czechwoman will play the winner of the match between Romanian Sorana Cirstea and Croat Donna Vekic in the next round

No 7 seed Marketa Vondrousova won against Russian Liudmila Samsonova, the No 12 seed, 6-2, 6-2 to advance to the last eight of the Dubai Open at The Aviation Club Tennis Centre on Wednesday.
Vondrousova, ranked No 8, will play the winner of the match between Romanian Sorana Cirstea and Croat Donna Vekic next.
The Czechwoman beat American Peyton Stearns (6-1, 5-7, 6-2) in the previous round of the Dubai tournament.
Earlier in the week, Samsonova, ranked No 15, defeated Bulgarian qualifier Viktoriya Tomova (7-6 (2), 6-3) and Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova (W/O).
