Dutch Open: Alexandrova moves into semi-finals

Russian Ekaterina Alexandrova, the No 4 seed, reached the semi-finals of the Dutch Open by defeating American qualifier Emina Bektas 6-4, 6-4 at the Autotron Rosmalen in’s-Hertogenbosch on Friday.
Alexandrova, ranked No 26, will play Belarusian Aliaksandra Sasnovich, the No 7 seed, next.
The Russian won against Evgeniya Rodina (6-3, 6-4) and Australian Kimberly Birrell (6-4, 7-6 (3)) ahead of her victory.
In the previous rounds of the Rosmalen tournament, Bektas, ranked No 186, beat Hungarian Dalma Galfi (7-5, 7-6 (1)) and lucky loser Sachia Vickery (6-4, 6-4).
