Dutch Open: Samsonova through to last 16

Russian Liudmila Samsonova, the second seed, edged out German qualifier Lena Papadakis 7-5, 6-7 (5), 7-6 (3) to move into the last 16 of the Dutch Open at the Autotron Rosmalen in’s-Hertogenbosch on Monday afternoon.

Samsonova, ranked No 15, will play the winner of the match between Russian Polina Kudermetova and Chinese Yue Yuan next.
