Dutch Open: Sasnovich moves into quarter-finals
Aliaksandra Sasnovich defeated Greet Minnen 6-2, 4-6, 6-3 on Wednesday afternoon and will face the winner of the match between Polina Kudermetova and second seed Liudmila Samsonova in the next round
Belarusian Aliaksandra Sasnovich, the No 7 seed, beat Belgian Greet Minnen 6-2, 4-6, 6-3 to move into the quarter-finals of the Dutch Open at the Autotron Rosmalen in’s-Hertogenbosch on Wednesday.
Sasnovich, ranked No 71, will face the winner of the match between Polina Kudermetova and second seed Liudmila Samsonova next.
The Belarusian won against Italian Lucrezia Stefanini (6-0, 6-3) ahead of her victory.
In the previous round of the Rosmalen tournament, Minnen, ranked No 120, won against Frenchwoman Jessika Ponchet (7-5, 4-6, 6-2).
