Canadian Leylah Fernandez beat American qualifier Ashlyn Krueger 6-2, 6-1 to advance to the last 8 of the Eastbourne Open at Devonshire Park Lawn Club on Wednesday.
Fernandez, ranked No 30, will face the winner of the match between American lucky loser Sofia Kenin and wildcard Harriet Dart next.
The 21-year-old Canadian won against No 7 seed Barbora Krejcikova (6-2, 3-6, 6-2) in the previous round of the Eastbourne tournament.
During the 32 of the Eastbourne tournament, Krueger, ranked No 87, edged out Swiss qualifier Viktorija Golubic (6-1, 6-7 (7), 7-5).
