Sara Bejlek moved into the quarter-finals of the Florianopolis Open by beating Frenchwoman Leolia Jeanjean 6-2, 7-6 (3).
Bejlek, ranked No 134, will face Mexican Renata Zarazua next.
Sara Bejlek defeated Italian Sara Errani, the No 4 seed (6-1, 7-6 (5)) ahead of her victory.
In the previous round of the Brazilian tournament, Jeanjean, ranked No 129, benefited from the abandonment of Croat Petra Marcinko (0-2).
