World No 3 Coco Gauff has parted ways with coach Matthew Daly just days before the final Grand Slam of the season, the US Open, kicks off in New York.

Gauff, who won her second Grand Slam singles title at Roland-Garros in June this year, will continue working with longtime coach Jean-Christophe Faurel and has added biomechanics specialist Gavin MacMillan to her team. MacMillan has worked with several players in the past, including current women’s world No 1 Aryna Sabalenka.

Gauff has struggled with her serve and confidence since her French Open triumph and has gone 4-4 in matches after her title in Paris.

The 21-year-old American is a former champion at the US Open, winning the title in Flushing Meadows in 2023.
