Austrian Julia Grabher, the No. 3 seed, won the Delta Motors Tolentino Open on Sunday afternoon, beating Spaniard Guiomar Maristany Zuleta De Reales, the No. 9 seed, 7-6 (5), 6-2 in the final.
Grabher, ranked No. 111, needed three sets in three of her five matches. She beat Spaniard Oksana Selekhmeteva, the second seed, 7-6 (5), 6-1, Italian Nuria Brancaccio 2-6, 6-1, 6-4, Frenchwoman Alice Tubello 3-6, 6-3, 6-4 and Italian Jennifer Ruggeri 4-6, 7-5, 6-3.
Maristany Zuleta De Reales, ranked No. 178, reached the final without dropping a set. Her wins came against Italian qualifier Jessica Pieri 6-1, 6-2, Swiss Rebeka Masarova, the No. 8 seed, 6-4, 6-3, Italian wild card Marta Lombardini 6-2, 6-3 and Greek Despina Papamichail 6-3, 6-3.
