American Hailey Baptiste won against Mexican wildcard Lya Isabel Fernandez Olivares 6-2, 6-1 to advance to the 32 of the Guadalajara Open Akron on Sunday afternoon.
Baptiste, ranked No 169, will play the winner of the match between No 16 seed Karolina Pliskova and Japanese qualifier Ena Shibahara next.
