No 3 seed Arantxa Rus won against Suzan Lamens 6-1, 6-4 to move into the last 16 of the Hamburg European Open on Sunday afternoon.
Rus, ranked No 103, will face the winner of the match between German Mona Barthel and Croat Lea Boskovic next.
