Ukrainian qualifier Anastasiya Sobolieva edged out Zeynep Sonmez 3-6, 7-5, 7-6 (8) to move into the last 16 of the Hamburg European Open on Monday.
Sobolieva, ranked No 223, will play Egyptian Mayar Sherif, the top seed, next.
