WTA Hobart International: Cocciaretto wins all-Italian clash to reach quarters
The Italian will face the winner of the match between American Bernarda Pera, the No 6 seed, and German Laura Siegemund in the next round

Elisabetta Cocciaretto beat Jasmine Paolini 6-2, 6-1 in an all-Italian battle to advance to the last eight of the WTA Hobart International at the Domain Tennis Centre on Wednesday.
Cocciaretto, ranked No 67, will play the winner of the match between American Bernarda Pera, the No 6 seed, and German Laura Siegemund next.
In the previous round of the Hobart tournament, Cocciaretto had defeated Frenchwoman Alize Cornet, the No 3 seed (6-4, 6-2). Meanwhile, Paolini, ranked No 65, had beaten Romanian Patricia Maria Tig (6-3, 6-1) in her previous match
