Japanese Hibino Nao won against Hungarian Dalma Galfi 6-4, 3-6, 6-3 to advance to the quarter-finals of the Hong Kong 125 Open on Thursday.
Hibino, ranked No 145, will face Dane Clara Tauson, the No 6 seed, next.
In the previous round, the Japanese beat Frenchwoman Clara Burel, the second seed (6-2, 7-6 (5)).
Galfi, ranked No 143, won against American lucky loser Jessie Aney (6-1, 6-4) during the 32.
