Australian Ajla Tomljanovic won against Russian Anna Blinkova, the No 7 seed, 6-4, 2-6, 6-3 to move into the final of the Hong Kong 125 Open on Saturday.
Tomljanovic, ranked No 107, will face Dane Clara Tauson, the No 6 seed, next.
Earlier in the tournament, the Australian defeated Canadian Marina Stakusic (6-4, 5-7, 6-0), Romanian Elena-Gabriela Ruse (7-5, 6-3) and American McCartney Kessler, the No 5 seed (6-3, 0-0 ret.).
Blinkova, ranked No 78, beat Thai qualifier Peangtarn Plipuech (6-1, 6-2), Romanian wildcard Simona Halep (6-2, 6-1) and American Emma Navarro, the top seed (6-4, 6-3) in the previous rounds.
