Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova knows it’ll be difficult to start gaining points and getting her ranking up again after so long away from the tour – but she has a plan.
The Russian took time out to rest a knee injury, but will have zero points to defend following the 2023 Australian Open.
“The Australian Open is the last tournament where I have some points left,” she tells Alize Lim in the latest edition of Major Talk.
“It’s exciting. It’s something new after over 15 years on Tour.”
And when Lim asked her if she would play ITF-level tournaments, she answered: “Yeah, if I have to, no problem.”
