Indian Wells: Raducanu through to third round after Yastremska retires

Wildcard Emma Raducanu moved into the third round of Indian Wells when Ukrainian Dayana Yastremska, the No 30 seed, retired at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden on Saturday.

Raducanu, ranked No 250, led 4-0 when Yastremska, ranked No 31, was forced to retire due to injury.

Emma Raducanu will face the winner of the match between American Peyton Stearns and Belarusian Aryna Sabalenka, the second seed, next. Ahead of her victory, Raducanu won against Spanish qualifier Rebeka Masarova (6-2, 6-3).
