Italian Open: Osorio upsets Martic to reach third round

Colombian qualifier Camila Osorio moved into the third round of the Italian Open by winning against Croat Petra Martic, the No 29 seed, 6-4, 6-2 at the Foro Italico in Rome on Thursday evening.
Osorio, ranked No 100, will face the winner of the match between Frenchwoman Caroline Garcia, the No 5 seed, and Romanian Ana Bogdan next.
In the previous round of the Rome tournament, the 21-year-old Colombian edged out Russian Varvara Gracheva (7-6 (4), 1-6, 7-6 (4)).
