Italian Open: Sabalenka cruises into third round, Kenin next

Top seed Aryna Sabalenka cruised into the third round of the Italian Open on Friday as she defeated Russian Anastasia Potapova 6-2, 6-2 at the Foro Italico.
The world No 1 will play American Sofia Kenin, the No 31 seed, next. Kenin beat Russian Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova 6-3, 6-0 almost at the same moment.
“I had to figure out the court, and how I can use my game in the best way on this surface,” Sabalenka said, quoted by the WTA website. “This match was more like me trying to adjust to the surface.”
