Jasmin Open: Stefanini dispatches Kawa to advance to the last eight

Italian Lucrezia Stefanini defeated Pole wildcard Katarzyna Kawa 6-4, 6-1 to advance to the last eight of the Jasmin Open at the Skanes Family Hotel Monastir.
Stefanini, ranked No 125, will play the winner of the match between Frenchwoman Clara Burel, the No 8 seed, and Russian wildcard Erika Andreeva next.
In the previous round of the Monastir tournament, the Italian won against qualifier Camilla Rosatello (5-7, 6-3, 6-1).
Kawa, ranked No 217, edged out Italian Martina Trevisan, the No 3 seed (6-3, 3-6, 7-5) in the previous round of the Monastir tournament.
