Keys recovers to beat Shnaider for semi-final spot at Queen’s

American Madison Keys, the second seed, reached the last four of the Queen’s by edging out Russian Diana Shnaider, the No 5 seed, 2-6, 6-3, 6-4 at Queen’s Club in London on Friday afternoon.
Keys, ranked No 8, will play the winner of the match between German qualifier Tatjana Maria and Kazakh Elena Rybakina, the No 4 seed, next.
In the previous round of the Queen’s tournament, the American defeated Russian qualifier Anastasia Zakharova (6-3, 6-2).
Shnaider, ranked No 12, won against Pole Magdalena Frech (6-4, 6-1) and Katie Boulter (2-6, 6-3, 6-2) earlier in the tournament.
