Korea Open: Polina Kudermetova upsets Alexandrova for biggest career win
Kudermetova will face the winner of the match between Australian Ajla Tomljanovic and Brazilian Beatriz Haddad Maia, the No 3 seed, in the next round

Lucky loser Polina Kudermetova won against No 7 seed Ekaterina Alexandrova 6-2, 7-5 to move into the last eight of the Korea Open at the Olympic Park Tennis Center in Seoul on Wednesday.
This was Kudemetova’s biggest career win and her first top 50 win on the tour.
Kudermetova, ranked No 163, will face the winner of the match between Australian Ajla Tomljanovic and Brazilian Beatriz Haddad Maia, the No 3 seed, next.
Ahead of her victory, Kudermetova defeated Australian qualifier Priscilla Hon (7-5, 6-4).
Alexandrova, ranked No 31, won against American qualifier Varvara Lepchenko (7-5, 3-6, 6-0) in the previous round of the Seoul tournament.
