American Jessica Pegula, the top seed, defeated Slovak Viktoria Hruncakova 6-2, 6-4 to move into the second round of the Korea Open at the Olympic Park Tennis Centre in Seoul on Tuesday.
Pegula, ranked No 4, will play American Ashlyn Krueger next.
