Kostyuk sweeps past Potapova to reach semi-finals
Marta Kostyuk defeated Anastasia Potapova 6-0, 7-5. She’ll face the winner of the match between Iga Swiatek and Caroline Wozniacki in the next round

Marta Kostyuk swept past Anastasia Potapova in impressive fashion, beating the Russian 6-0, 7-5 to reach the semi-finals of Indian Wells.
Kostyuk, ranked No 32, will face the winner of the match between Pole Iga Swiatek, the top seed, and Dane wildcard Caroline Wozniacki next.
Earlier in the tournament, the 21-year-old Ukrainian defeated Japanese qualifier Mai Hontama (6-4, 6-2), No 7 seed Marketa Vondrousova (W/O) and Russian Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova, the No 22 seed (6-4, 6-1).
Potapova, ranked No 33, beat Marie Bouzkova (7-5, 6-1), Argentinian lucky loser Nadia Podoroska (6-1, 6-1) and Italian Jasmine Paolini, the No 13 seed (7-5, 0-6, 6-3) in the previous rounds of the Indian Wells tournament.
