La Bisbal d’Emporda Open: Sramkova holds off Mladenovic to reach quarters

Slovak Rebecca Sramkova reached the last eight of the La Bisbal d’Emporda Open by edging out French wildcard Kristina Mladenovic 7-5, 4-6, 6-4 at the Club Esportiu CT La Bisbal in La Bisbal d’Emporda on Wednesday.
Sramkova, ranked No 121, will play the winner of the match between Jessica Bouzas Maneiro and No 5 seed Rebeka Masarova next.
The Slovak defeated Frenchwoman Leolia Jeanjean (6-0, 7-5) in the previous round of the La Bislab d’Emporda tournament.
In the previous round of the La Bislab d’Emporda tournament, Mladenovic, ranked No 268, won against Belgian Greet Minnen, the top seed (6-3, 6-1).
