Serb qualifier Olga Danilovic edged out Swiss wildcard Simona Waltert 6-4, 4-6, 7-6 (5) to move into the last 4 of the Lausanne Open at Tennis Club du Stade-Lausanne on Friday afternoon.
Danilovic, ranked No 124, will face Russian Anastasia Potapova next.
The 21-year-old Serb beat Japanese Misaki Doi (6-3, 6-3) and edged out Russian Anna Kalinskaya (6-3, 3-6, 7-5) in the previous rounds of the Lausanne.
Earlier in the tournament, Waltert, ranked No 154, edged out American Danielle Collins, the top seed (6-7 (5), 6-3, 7-6 (6)) and Spanish qualifier Cristina Bucsa (6-1, 5-7, 6-4).
