Ukrainian Marta Kostyuk, the No 10 seed, defeated Canadian Marina Stakusic 6-7 (3), 6-4, 6-1 to move into the last 8 of the Les Championnats Banque Nationale de Granby on Wednesday evening.
Kostyuk, ranked No 72, will face the winner of the match between Canadian Rebecca Marino and Italian Jasmine Paolini, the No 3 seed, next.
In the previous round, the 20-year-old Ukrainian won against Slovenian Tamara Zidansek (6-1, 7-5).
Marina Stakusic won against Australian Jaimee Fourlis (4-6, 6-3, 6-2) during the 32.
