Australian Daria Saville, the No 9 seed, reached the semi-finals of the Les Championnats Banque Nationale de Granby by defeating Chinese Xiyu Wang 6-3, 6-0 on Thursday evening.
Saville, ranked No 73, will face the winner of the match between Ukrainian Marta Kostyuk, the No 10 seed, and Canadian Rebecca Marino next.
The Australian won against Slovak Anna Karolina Schmiedlova (6-3, 6-3) and Canadian Katherine Sebov (6-1, 6-0) ahead of her victory.
In the previous rounds, Wang, ranked No 75, won against American Jamie Loeb (7-6 (4), 6-7 (5), 6-2) and Canadian qualifier Cadence Brace (7-6 (4), 6-1).
